On my skin (and living in a dry desert climate) the initial opening seemed to mellow out quite quickly, leaving a more linear tobacco/vanilla/musk profile with something else (that I'm guessing is the patchouli, but doesn't read quite as such to my nose) - with a very solid longevity and a decent projection
