These helmets were made of a hardened cork material, covered in khaki cotton drill material. Underneath this is lined in a silver foil to reflect the tropical sun. You can actually see a hint of this silver foil if you look inside, at the center of the cap. The top of the cap has a ventilation button. There is the khaki colored center band as well. There is one
