When to seek urgent medical advice : If you have already used an unlicensed peptide and experience any of the following, contact NHS 111 promptly or call 999 (or attend your nearest emergency department) in an emergency: Severe nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain Signs of infection at the injection site (redness, swelling, warmth, or discharge) Dizziness, palpitations, or fainting Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing (call 999 immediately for suspected anaphylaxis) Signs of serious infection or sepsis (high fever, confusion, rapid breathing, or feeling extremely unwell) Healthcare professionals are encouraged to take a non-judgemental approach when patients disclose use of unlicensed substances, focusing on harm reduction and signposting to regulated alternatives
