The tone is boxy and hollow, and thats kind of what we love about them. This one actually plays decent with a medium ish action currently and everything is in good working order. Better condition than one would expect to usually find these in. Would be a nice addition to any collection for that sound not found in most traditional mandolins. Includes setup
