L770 pyrite 5" high x 4" wide17th century Italian gold leaf fragment with pyrophyllite in matrix with baroque pearls. This fragment was originally a candlestick from a church in Italy. The pyrophyllite is mounted and coordinates with part of the red bole paint of the gold leaf.
