Parts have an almost ribbed texture and others have a smother finish with a bit of a horizontal banded feel worked into the fabric

I wonder if the original client perhaps bought the ready-to-wear top and then had a skirt custom-made… or perhaps both pieces were a special order and they just used a label on the top that was on hand in order to put the fabric content tag on

The neckline has no collar and swoops down into a low plunge that is squared off at its base with that gorgeous knotted detailing (this same knotted detail was found on some of the silk satin turbans produced for this collection as well)

The skirt is cut to expose one leg quite high up

When the suit is on this causes it to sit up and off the chest slightly and gives it a little support there to add shape
