but as the tide dropped and the reef dried up in the afternoon sun I decided to put my lens on the rocks for a bit to see if anything took

wide-set palm fronds and extra height on it's neighbours made it stand out from the rest

Seagulls, pelicans, and turkey vultures frequently glide low overhead, vying for scraps of fish discarded from the daily catch. In this image, I like how I captured a brown pelican right at head height with the panga boats in the background.
