Power House Southern Interior bass hill the treads grey and splinteredHeavy machinery rusts across the concrete floor of the Portland Cement Works power house, its southern interior open to natural light through deteriorating walls. The powerhouse, originally two separate buildings joined into a single structure by 1910, was central to operations that ran from 1902 until cement production ceased in November 1991.
